Ásatrú

Ásatrú was created over a the course of a year after producing a custom logo type for a client. Slowly, those five letters evolved into an entire character set and then manually kerned. The name Ásatrú comes from the name of the millennia old viking religion sometime refered to as odinism or Germanic Paganism. It is a polytheistic religion, worshipping Gods and Godesses such as Odin, Thor, Freyr and Loki. This display font takes its inspiration from Nordic runes and texts whilst maintaining a san-serif core structure.
